Each instrument part includes a small clued staff above showing the vocal line and lyrics. This makes rehearsal and performances much easier to coordinate without a conductor. Where there is an instrument name noted, this refers to the original instrumental line the player is playing. The term "loco" means that the player returns to playing a string part. For advanced players as the work makes full use of each instrument, uses double stops and extended ranges, etc. I hope this smaller ensemble will allow singers to perform the work more often and bring this beautiful work to a larger audience.
