Product Description
Alan Silvestri is one of my favorite movie composers. He composes mainly for the film industry, and wrote fantastic scores for movies like Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, and Night at the Museum, to name a few.
This piece comes from the movie, Cast Away. The movie didn't have much music in it, which was intended to create a feeling of isolation. Needless to say, when music was played during a scene, it made a big impact. Silvestri won a Grammy Award for his music score in this movie.
This arrangement of the theme song is written for 3 C flutes, alto, bass, optional contrabass and optional cello. You may substitute the cello part for any C instrument in the bass clef range, like a bassoon, trombone, euphonium, or keyboard.
I hope your quartet and your audience will enjoy this arrangement.
