Product Description
The lead sheet used for the recording of 'Fallout' by London jazz quartet Lophae.
Note that the recorded version loops bars 21 - 24 to make a 4-bar vamp as an intro.
The rhythm played by drummer Ben Brown is loosely based on the 'Frevo' rhythm & dance from North-Eastern Brasil.
"Fallout pairs the busy rush of the underlying drums with a laid back melody and easy flowing harmony, creating that juxtaposition between motion and stillness that is one of Sanderss compositional signatures. Weaving together modern jazz harmony reminiscent of Brad Mehldau, bluesy references, hints of the Frevo dance style of Recife, Brasil, and West-African Mande guitar vibes, 'Fallout' is a favourable omen of what's to come."
