Garcia Lorca is the most famous name in the flamenco songwriting tradition. His compositions have been covered by countless musicians in the classical and folk flamenco world. The pieces he wrote were often short and repetitive like a folk song, but full of the rhythmic energy that characterizes flamenco. This piece is right in between, as it is fairly rubato and can be interpreted in various ways.
