Described as both ingenious and attractive and already purchased by one national youth choir, this arrangement is a choral accompaniment to The Last Post, an arrangement of 'Amazing Grace' scored for SATB choir with solo trumpet in Bb playing 'The Last Post'. It has been performed in New Zealand, Australia, UK and USA to high acclaim. The five verses of Amazing Grace allow different sections of the choir to lead in this solemn and dignified musical setting of John Newton's text. The choral writing is moderate in difficulty level but the choir must be able to hold their pitch. This arrangement in counterpoint with 'The Last Post' will appeal across all denominations and beliefs. It would be helpful to place the trumpeter either behind the congregation/audience or above in a gallery. This arrangement can be used in a sacred, secular or memorial context. Very well suited for Armistice Day, Veteran's Day and commemorative patriotic occasions. The score downloads with a one-page trumpet part attached, also a four-page choral score attached.
