Product Description

"Sprites" for Solo Clarinet is a twelve tone piece of music that is loosely based on a twelve tone series that is used in the Lento introduction and coda to the music. The Gigue style middle section of the music continues to use the tone row but not in a strict serialistic manner. The piece is based on sprites that once awakened cause mischief and chaos. Although the piece is written for solo clarinet the use of sequence and imitation suggest there are several voices in conversation, or in relation to the piece, several sprites communicating with each other.
