Product Description

"The Birth of the Blues" is a popular 1926 song composed by Ray Henderson, with lyrics by Buddy DeSylva and Lew Brown. It was used in the Broadway revue George White's Scandals of 1926. It was recorded in its debut year by Paul Whiteman. This arrangement follows closely to the reording by Sammy Davis Jr. and features the Solo Cornet player in the Band.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
