The Canyon Towhees are known for singing beautiful melodies in the Chihuahuan Desert, where my hometown of El Paso, Texas resides. This piece will transport you to an early morning El Paso sunrise at the foot of the Franklin Mountains where every little bird is slowly awakened by the warmth of the sun and progresses to the scurrying of the day. Personally, for me, the Towhees song reminds me of my earliest childhood memories, sitting outside on my grandparents' back porch, enjoying the early morning dew, and listening to the Canyon Towhees call.
