This
is an instrumental ensemble arrangement of Brahmss Hungarian Dance No. 5. This
music is arranged for alto saxophones, horns, xylophones, timpani, triangles,
cymbals, piano, keytar, guitars, bass guitars, violins, and erhus. Saxophones,
horns, keytar, violins, and erhus play the primary and secondary melodies,
complemented by the accompaniment from the remaining instruments of the
ensemble. The music was revised through alterations in melody, harmony, and rhythm.
Changes in music allow intermediate-level ensembles to perform this work. This
arrangement is scored for 31-44 performers.
