A richly expressive, 6-minute-long setting, for TTBB chorus and string quartet, of the much-loved 1928 Sonnet by Elizabeth Bishop ("I am in need of music..."). This download is a 12-page choral score with a rehearsal-only piano reduction of the string quartet accompaniment. The full score and a set of thoroughly-edited string parts, complete with bowings, are available as a separate item on this site. The audio file provided with both downloads is a recording of a live 2016 performance by the Vancouver Men's Chorus and a quartet of Vancouver string players under the direction of Willi Zwozdesky, and is used with permission.
