Product Description

Background
The Troubadours were a group of French traveling musicians alive between 1100 and 1350. They wrote and performed songs that tell of chivalry and courtly love.

Uses
These monophonic compositions may be performed as unaccompanied solos, or may be used as studies. These songs are great for practice in phrasing, articulation, or musicality. There are no rhythms or dynamics, so the performer is forced to create their own interpretation and musicality. It is also important to know that these songs were originally sung, and lyrics (in Old Occitan language) exist for every song.
